Claines has a thriving primary school up School Bank from the Church. It provides education to 200 pupils from the ages of 4 to 11. It provides an effective learning environment with a Christian ethos, set in beautiful grounds between farmland and Claines old vicarage.
The School draws pupils from within and around the parish and has very close relationships with Bishop Perowne Church of England College and Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College, where most Claines pupils move to.
Claines School was established in 1841 and has enjoyed extremely close links with the Church through the centuries. The Church is well represented on the Board of Governors, clergy regularly visit and major school services are held in the Church.
The School has produced generations of choristers for the Church Choir and many of the Claines Boy Bishops also.
