OLWEN ORDAINED!
Congratulations to Olwen Woolcock, ordained Priest, on Sunday 2nd July.
Olwen becomes the first Deacon to be ordained Priest from Claines for 40 years.
Olwen has served as Deacon at Claines for a year and will continue to serve as Priest for a further two years.
Olwen was ordained Priest by Bishop Peter of Worcester in a packed Worcester Cathedral. Nine other Priests and nine Deacons were ordained with her.
She was supported by her family and parishioners from Claines in an uplifting service on a beautiful July morning.

Olwen was born in Birmingham though brought up in Wales and Yorkshire. She took her degree in medieval and modern history at Birmingham University.
Work experience includes a variety of administration posts, teaching adult education, and most recently developing an Age Concern project to set up day-
Olwen enjoys photography, creative sewing, walking the dog and being out in remote and open places. She is married to Ray and they have three daughters, Jo, Louise and Helen.
