FRIENDS OF CLAINES CHuRCH

Bishop George & The Rolling Hills Harley Chapter!

Claines Church Fete saw a historic first for a Boy Bishop as he blessed a “chapter” of Harley Davidson motorbikes and their owner riders!

A dozen members of the Rolling Hills Chapter roared into Claines and parked amongst the graves, to be greeted by Reverend Jo Musson and 2012 Boy Bishop, George Paterson. George, in a rare summer robing,  complete with crosier, blessed the gleaming machines and their owners and wished them many happy and safe miles.

Some of the members were fresh back from St Peters Square, Rome, where on June 16th over 35,000 Harley Davidson bikers had gathered to celebrate 110 years of Harley Davidson. They were blessed by the Pope.

The Rolling Hills Chapter was formed in March 1989  Since 2008, they have been  proudly sponsored by Cheltenham Harley-Davidson.

The Rolling Hills Chapter has always been, and remains, primarily a Harley-Davidson riding group, with over 30 rideouts arranged throughout each year, plus weekend trips away in the UK and longer tours in and around Europe.  Some fo the members had recently tarvelled back from ROme

Every year they support a worthy charity and this year they are continuing to support and raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance, having  raised over £1,700 last year.
