 Claines Junior Bishop 2014

Congratulations to Maisie Leyland aged 11, who has been installed as the 44th Junior Bishop of Claines. This year the Junior Bishop will represent both Claines and St Georges, the church at which Maisie and her family worship.

Maisie was  installed as Junior Bishop on Sunday 7th December, by Reverend Jo Musson and will undertake a wide range of duties until  28th December. Amongst these will be regular readings, parish visits, sick communions in the parish and preaching on Christmas Day!  Maisie is the third girl to serve as Junior Bishop, the first one at Claines being in 2011.

Maisie was assisted at the installation by Ben Fazey, aged 8, who served as Chaplain, reading and carrying the Claines Crozier.
